michaela + brian postponed their 2020 wedding celebration + decided on a small, intimate gathering on michaela’s family’s property in leadville, co. they were able to honor their original date, sign their marriage license + do the dang thing! when the next summer rolled around, all of their family + friends were beyond ready to celebrate these two + their love. camp hale even gifted us a double rainbow after cocktail hour. from beautiful floral installs to ornate desserts to a soulful live band, this day brought such a mountain elegance.

neha + Tyler | indian traditional meets chic industrial

neha + tyler’s two-day indian wedding brought vibrant sarees, bollywood dancing + even a white horse to a historic industrial venue. it was a truly beautiful celebration. neha + tyler have been together since high school + their love for each other, their family + their friends is as real as it comes. together they’ve navigated academic pursuits, a cross-country move + tough health diagnoses of family members. their wedding celebration was so lively + joyous - knowing the resilience + strength behind it all made each moment that much sweeter.

TYANNA + KELLEN | BOHO RANCH WEDDING IN STEAMBOAT SPRINGS

tyanna + kellen’s intimate wedding day was a labor of love made possible by their beloved steamboat community. family + friends set up hay bale seating for the ceremony, arranged florals, DJed nighttime dancing, bar tended, crafted boho-rustic decor, transported guests on ATVs... tyanna's dad officiated. tyanna's grandmother MADE her bridal top. + it all took place on tyanna’s family ranch. tyanna also has some *very* talented friends (redden wood photographed, traveling updo artist did tyanna's hair). now that I think about it, i was the only non-friend vendor. but by the end of the day, (yep, we're about to get cheesy here), i left feeling like even that was no longer the case.

CHRISTINA + NICK | THE MANOR HOUSE

christina + nick met in the elevator at a halloween party. christina was sandy from grease + nick was ‘bad santa.’ part of nick’s costume was handing out personalized christmas cards + the one that made it to christina read, ‘can’t wait for our first date’… now how smooth is that?? about two months into their relationship, christina received a sobering cancer diagnosis that flipped their world upside down. upon learning how terrible christina’s student health insurance was, nick offered to marry her so she could join his health plan. while this is not how their proposal story actually went down, it’s clear that this kind of deep love + support is foundational to their relationship. four years later, surrounded by family + friends, christina + nick said their i dos at the manor house in littleton, colorado. the day was full of smiles, laughter + numerous ‘finger gun’ dance breakdowns.

Katherine + Matthew | Intimate wedding at Surf Hotel

before filming katherine + matthew’s intimate wedding, i had previously filmed their friends’ weddings (three of them to be exact). so by the time their own wedding day came around, i felt so wonderfully at home among their squad. katherine + matthew hosted their intimate wedding weekend at surf hotel in buena vista, colorado. katherine owns a pr firm + matthew is an architect, so i knew that their day’s creative aesthetics would not disappoint (they didn’t). the two of them have gracefully conquered so much together over the years + exude all of the power couple vibes.

EMMA + JAKE | MOUNTAIN MANSION in AUTUMN

emma + jake are high school sweethearts. they grew up together, they went to college together… + on a beautiful october day at a mansion in the mountains, they committed to doing the rest of their lives together. these two are so caring towards each other + their love feels effortless; during their ceremony there wasn’t a dry eye. at the end of the night, they made a sparkler exit to their vintage getaway car. we filmed the day on a mixture of digital + super 8mm film cameras, which lent a wonderfully nostalgic vibe.

kaitlin + Anthony | Weekend at tihsreed lodge

this was a wedding weekend like no other. it started at an elaborate homemade obstacle course + ended in a nighttime dance party with all the groomsmen in wedding dresses + animal masks. kaitlin + anthony made their celebration wholly their own, their fun + spirited personalities shining through every chosen detail: pie not cake. colors? all of them. portraits sans gender roles. animal masks whenever possible. weirdness encouraged. + tihsreed lodge’s eclectic decor of colorado homages + taxidermy fit right in. i love the joy that untraditional weddings just can’t help but bring… here for them all!

stephanie + katherine | hip industrial meets cozy

stephanie + katherine’s intimate wedding was so them. they poured so much of their personalities (+ their amazing taste, might i add) into the day. it made the vibe wonderfully down-to-earth and cozy at their urban industrial venue. steph + katie are full of warmth + compassion + their genuine gratitude for the day was contagious. everyone at their intimate wedding celebration, from their family, to their friends, to their vendor-friends, felt lucky to be included in their circle.
